Quality is every bit as good as any Apple-branded keyboard. Small size, never in the way and is very stingy with battery usage. Even though it's powered by AAA batteries instead of AA, I only need to replace them about every three months, and this numeric pad gets a lot of work.

Verified Buyer Reviewer: Papa Location: WA Age: Over 65 Experience Level: Home User Owned Product: less than a month Rating: 3/5 Left handed model??? February 12, 2018 This numerical keyboard is provided with a bracket so it can be attached to your alpha keyboard. This gives the look and feel of an extended keyboard with integral numeric keypad. Great idea but poorly executed. If you are left handed and attach the numerical key board to the left of your keyboard, this works great.

The on/off buttons on each keyboard are accessible. Why is this important? Turn the keyboards off and save battery power when not in use, and 2. You need to push and hold the power button to force pairing the devices with your computer (hopefully not an every day need or occurrence). A left handed orientation however, covers the battery compartment access points. A minor irritation when renewing batteries. If you attach this numerical key board in the traditional manner (to the right of your alpha keyboard) then the on/off buttons on both keyboards are covered up and inaccessible.

To turn these devices on and off or to pair these devices, the two keyboards must be disconnected from each other. I doubt the plastic bracket will stand up to daily re-attachments. Given the tape strips provided to 'lock' and keep the keyboards together, it is apparent they are not meant to be disconnected from each other frequently. I realize and believe both keyboards may go to sleep when not in use so battery life may not be a deal breaker.

And hopefully these devices pair themselves more often than not. This left handed/right handed idiosyncrasy could have been designed out from the get go. As for me, I'll learning how to be ambidextrous. Recommended with qualifications. I would recommend this item to a friend! This review is from. Customer Videos.

Verified Buyer Top 250 Contributor Reviewer: macacaholic Location: Ontario, Canada Age: Over 65 Experience Level: Home User Owned Product: less than a month Rating: 4/5 Wireless keyboard adds to Ease of Use April 7, 2017 The standard wireless keyboard lacks a number pad. Adding this number pad speeds use when doing calculations, or entering data to spreadsheets. Only curious thing is that the keypad used AAA cells, while other devices us AA cells, do cannot maintain just one charger and one extra pair of rechargeable batteries. Verified Buyer Top 250 Contributor Reviewer: BW79ST Location: New York City Age: Over 65 Experience Level: Home User Owned Product: 1-3 months Rating: 4/5 Handy to have attached to my new iMAC February 1, 2017 I missed the functions that were on my old Mac keyboard, although I do love the new iMac rechargeable keyboard!

Having this numeric keyboard at least restores my easy access to Page Up & Down as well as a Delete Forward key. With rechargeable batteries I don't have to worry about replacing AAs all the time. My ideal would be an all-in-one keyboard that is rechargeable, but this will do until then.

Verified Buyer Reviewer: MacThespian Location: suburban Philadelphia Age: Over 65 Experience Level: Power User Owned Product: less than a month Rating: 4/5 Connection to keyboard not good November 14, 2016 I already have a USB keyboard with a numeric keypad, but it is really large, and I wanted something to go with Apple's bluetooth keyboard. This seemed like the perfect fit. It works very well, and is a good match for Apple's keyboard, both in look and in key travel.

My only complaint is the plastic connector that they supply to link the qwerty keyboard and the numeric keypad. Neither seems to fit in it perfectly; there's a small gap at either top or bottom, where the connector meets the keyboard or keypad. It's not a deal-breaker, but it drops a star from my rating of this product. I would recommend this item to a friend! Customer Videos.

Verified Buyer Top 100 Contributor Reviewer: Anonymous Location: New York Age: 55-65 Experience Level: IT Professional Owned Product: less than a month Rating: 5/5 Better than Apple's May 16, 2016 Once I got Bluetooth to recognize the keypad and keep it paired, everything has been terrific! The one weak point is Bluetooth itself, which continues to be flaky technology. On my MacBook Pro, Bluetooth managed to lose track of the pairing after the first use.

(0o) But I slogged on and got them paired again and this time it stuck. Now all I have to do is push the button on the keypad and it's instantly paired. Push it again and it's instantly unpaired and off.

That's faster and easier than Apple's equivalent. The speed and accuracy of the keypad are excellent. I'll carry this great device with me everywhere. I would recommend this item to a friend! Now I have a new magic keyboard without the number pad.

This keypad is not the same profile, so it does not couple to the magic keyboard. I knew that when I ordered it because I ask OWC, who are always helpful. It has AAA batteries, not the AA as with the older wireless keyboard.

But it fills my need including having a right delete key saving the trouble of using +. When they make one to couple to the new keyboard, I hope it also has arrow keys.

I recommend AAA rechargeable batteries, although I have not had to change the ones that come with the keyboard. I would recommend this item to a friend! Verified Buyer Reviewer: Anonymous Location: Denton, TX Age: 55-65 Experience Level: Power User Owned Product: 1-3 months Rating: 5/5 Handy to Have Along December 3, 2015 I've wanted to have one of these since they were introduced.

The special promo pricing recently was all it took to tip the scale for me. It works fine, as expected, and is actually fun to use with my MacBook Pro. If I ever ditch the wired keyboard on one my desktop Macs for a wireless one, I'll probably pair it up with the wireless NewerTech Bluetooth KeyPad. I'm happy to recommend this product. Reviewer: Anonymous Location: Suburban Washington, DC Age: 55-65 Experience Level: IT Professional Owned Product: less than a month Rating: 3/5 Works, could be better November 11, 2015 The brushed stainless and keys rock. It definitely works and provides the numeric functionality missing from Apple's bluetooth keyboard (both versions 1 and 2).

It loses a star for not having an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery and an additional star for using AAA rather than AA batteries. In addition it would be more useful to provide a green diode to indicate on / off than flashing the '=' key for a brief period. What's unknown is whether any of these features may not be available because they'd infringe on an existing patent. I would recommend this item to a friend!

Verified Buyer Reviewer: Anonymous Location: Clearwater, Florida Age: Over 65 Experience Level: Power User Owned Product: 1-3 months Rating: 5/5 Makes my life complete. :-) October 23, 2015 My new iMac came with he Apple Wireless Keyboard (the battery-barrel type, not the new Magic keyboard with battery recharge via Lightning), and I was at a loss without the numeric keypad of my old wired Extended Keyboard.

This gives me back my number pad and a Forward Delete key, which I sorely missed. It fits perfectly alongside the keyboard, even without the “integration bracket” that comes with it (which I’m not using). The only con I can think of is that it’s not an EXACT color/texture match to the aluminum of the keyboard — which I no longer notice. The key layout is better than those on competing keypads, and key operation feels the same as the keyboard. I will be using Eneloop rechargeable batteries in both the number pad and the keyboard to be eco-responsible — and cheap. Not a con, but a negative, is the fact that if the white “integration bracket” is used, the on/off switches of the keyboard and the number pad are inaccessible. With my setup that doesn’t matter, but would be important if the bracket is permanently installed.

NewerTech does it again. And will probably have a new version shortly, to complement the new Magic Keyboard with battery recharge via Lightning cable. I would recommend this item to a friend! Verified Buyer Reviewer: Anonymous Location: Michigan Age: 45-54 Experience Level: IT Professional Owned Product: 5-6 months Rating: 5/5 Finally Love it! September 24, 2015 Originally I thought this was a terrible product, BUT IT'S GREAT. The problems I were experiencing are due to the numerous bugs in Yosemite's bluetooth code on a MacPro (2008). It worked great on my MacBook Pro.

If you have Yosemite and are experiencing problems with your wireless keyboard (Apple) and this NewerTech Numeric Pad, upgrading to El Captain might solve all your problems, it did for me and it's already become an indispensable product. Absolutely, Love it when using my HP 48GX application! My only suggestion is that they move the Power Button to the right side so that when you use the bracket to attach the Num pad to the Apple wireless keyboard you can shut it off without removing from bracket, should work great for left-handed people. Verified Buyer Reviewer: Anonymous Location: Dublin, CA Age: Over 65 Experience Level: Home User Owned Product: 3-4 months Rating: 5/5 Perfect add on by NewerTech June 6, 2015 Bought this to add on to my new iMac wireless KBD. I could not be happier with the choice of colored keys (black or white) and the quality of the keypad. It snaps onto your KBD easily and is a fairly sturdy connection. The only other thing would be to have a KBD cover to fit over the entire board with this addition.
